Sweden started the junior WC by winning 7-1 against the Czech Republic, and followed it up by defeating Austria 4-0 - in a match where they won the shots with a slightly improbable 65-6.
But in the next match, which will be played tonight against Russia, there will hardly be such numbers.
This is when one of the tournament's pre-favorites stands for the opposition: Russia.
- Now Sweden is being tested, now they have to face good resistance, states SVT Sports expert Mikael Renberg.
"Will be on my toes"
Russia was surprisingly beaten 0-2 in the team's last match, against the Czech Republic.
But Renberg does not think it is a sign of a weak Russian team.
- Russia started very well and won against the USA.
Then they made a worse match against the Czech Republic.
But then I experience that Russia has always been, they have mixed and given in these junior tournaments.
I think they will be on their toes against Sweden, it will be a very tough match and the Swedish defense will be tested, he says, and concludes:
- Now we get an indication of where the Swedish team stands: Do we have a medal team or do we not have a medal team?
