Then the abrupt departure was explained by the reason that the economy did not go around for the Finn who then disappeared from motorsport for four years.

But now, in the podcast Shikaani Formula 1 Podcast, 31-year-old Emma Kimiläinen has told the real reason.

The incident occurred when the Finns were negotiating with a stable in Indy Lights, a series that is run in connection with the large American Indy car Series.

The Finn chased sponsors for this year's season, but was then told that the finances had already been arranged and that she did not have to worry about the financing.

Be about to sign

But the only problem was that she was not told that the sponsor who would finance the season was a men's magazine and the requirement was that she should pose without a bikini top in the magazine.

- I was already on my way there (signing a contract with the stable) when I called them (the team) and wanted to know what it was really about.

Then I got the answer: “We have disagreed with our partner.

At first we agreed on a bikini, but now it should be completely topless ”.

I wondered what the matter was until it became clear that the partner was a "high-class men's magazine", says Kimiläinen in the podcast according to GP.

In the podcast, Kimiläinen tells how she left the stable after the incident and made a motorsport comeback in STCC four years later.
