The news that Göteborg FC, the reigning Swedish champions team with several national team players in football, will end its elite activities surprised many on Tuesday and even more people will probably wonder what happens next.

Lawyer Carl Fhager at the law firm Maqs has been commissioned to help players find new clubs.

Or to get another club to take over Gothenburg's place in the top league.

- Either you can imagine finding a new suit for this business, it is an ongoing work with short lead times.

Or, if that does not happen, make sure players get new clubs to play for.

My task is to solve one or the other, says Carl Fhager to Göteborgs-Posten and continues:

- There is a lot that is good in Gothenburg FC, the history, the players, the leaders and everything around.

Can you take it and stop at another club with even better facilities and training opportunities?

That's one thing we're looking at now.

Whether it can be solved remains to be seen.

According to the Swedish Football Association's (SvFF) practice and competition regulations, Gothenburg's damallsvenska place goes to Morön BK, third in the second division elite this year, if the champion team withdraws from the series.

Fhager believes that the JRC has not yet informed SvFF that it is leaving its Damallsvenska place.

- They have not done that yet, says Carl Fhager to GP.
