It is just over a week ago that Alexandra Edebo went on a tough bang in the small final in skicross in Val Thorens.

The 24-year-old was left lying on the hill for more than 20 minutes before she was taken to hospital with a concussion.

Two days later, she felt good enough to fly home with the others in the national team to Sweden.

And the recovery is going in the right direction.

- She has rested and is on her way back to training.

It will be step by step according to the brain ladder.

You get to try a little and see how you react so you do not go too far too soon.

She is symptom-free now according to herself, says Swedish head coach Eric Iljans to SVT Sport.

Edebo is in contact with physiotherapists to continue with the training.

- She wants to be on her way now.

So now it's just a matter of not going too hard from the beginning but starting carefully and trying your hand to see how the body reacts, says Eric Iljans.

The next competition in the World Cup is in Montafon, Austria, on January 13-15.

When Alexandra Edebo can be back in the competition team remains to be seen.

- I can not answer that at all.

I think she will be back on skis next week.

Then how hard you ride is another matter.

But it should not take very long, says Eric Iljans, who points out that there is a difference between skiing and skiing.

- She will not ride a ski cross track, but you can ski but you do not have to ride very hard.

I think it will go well, then we will see how the body responds.

24-year-old Edebo broke through two weeks ago when she won her first World Cup competition in Arosa, Switzerland.
