Led by 50 points at halftime, unprecedented in NBA history, the Clippers were swept 124 to 73 by the Dallas Mavericks of Luka Doncic.

Deprived of their star Kawhi Leonard, Nicolas Batum's teammates were quickly overwhelmed by the Mavericks' fast and efficient play.

Doncic led the Texans to victory with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists, well supported by Josh Richardson (21 points) and Tim Hardaway Jr (18 points).

Side Clippers, one of the contenders for the title, all the players offered a disappointing performance, including Paul George, author of 15 points, with a pedestrian 4 of 13 shooting.

Already enjoying a 23-point lead in the first quarter, the Mavericks reached the break with a stratospheric lead of 50 points (77-27).

"I've never seen anything like it in the NBA and the Clippers are at home," ex-NBA legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson said on Twitter.

On the restart, the Clippers seemed to react by scoring 10 points in a row, but could not follow.

Tyronn Lue's players were playing without their two-time NBA champion Kawhi Leonard, who received eight stitches on Friday after an unintentional blow to the jaw from teammate Serge Ibaka.
