There were two strong teams that met in Karlstad.

Both Färjestad and Djurgården came into the match after a good period.

However, Färjestad could be seen as favorites as Djurgården was weak on away ice this winter.

And it was the home team that took command and led with the first goal of the first period scored by Jacob Peterson.

Peterson was also involved in Färjestad's other goals.

The 2-0 goal was a real delicacy where the puck went like on a string between Färjestad's Daniel Viksten, Jacob Peterson and the goal scorer Adam Ginning.

Djurgården getting better

Djurgården came back in the second period and leveled the game.

The team had some good chances to reduce, especially when they had to play in numerical superiority for over five minutes in total, but without getting the puck.

At the beginning of the last period, Djurgården was very close to getting in 1-2, but Henrik Haukeland in Färjestadkassen was awake.

When then William Eklund went out on a second, the home team could take advantage of it and Jacob Peterson lifted up 3-0 in the net from close range.

Quick reply

However, Djurgården replied less than a minute later when cold Östman banked in 1-3.

But the team did not get the opportunity to get closer.

After another expulsion, Viktor Ejdsell was able to make it 4-1 to Färjestad just four seconds after Dick Axelsson sat on the expulsion bench.

Tom Wandell gave Djurgården some hope when he rounded the box and made 2-4 the way to the kitchen.

Then there were just over five minutes left to play.

But the one who got the next chance was Färjestad's Martin Johansson who hit the crossbar completely free with the goalkeeper.

Carl Jakobsson was then able to establish the final result 5-2 in an open box.

- Boring to cod.

The passing game was not sitting today, stated Djurgården's Jacob Josefson to CMore.
