The 30-year-old Bouma has played in the AHL in recent seasons but played 53 games for the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL as recently as the 2017-18 season.

- It is a forward who really takes the lead with sacrificial play.

He has a lot of experience from games at a high level and we hope that he can contribute energy and help the team, says sports director Thomas Fröberg to the SHL club's own website.

Played in Ottawa last season

25-year-old Max Veronneau has a similar background and played four games for the Ottawa Senators in the NHL last season.

- Max has very good speed towards the checkout and goes on the inside towards the goal.

We need to strengthen the team and in Max we see the qualities we have been looking for for a long time now, describes Fröberg Veronneau's qualities.

Oskarshamn made a good start to the season but now has 13 straight losses (including overtime losses) and is seriously involved in the bottom battle.
