The justice validated Tuesday the agreement between the Professional Football League (LFP) and its broadcaster Mediapro, noting the withdrawal of the Catalan group with Chinese capital with a view to the reallocation of the TV rights of the French championships, indicated the lawyer of the broadcaster Guilhem Bremond at AFP.

By approving this memorandum of understanding, the commercial court of Nanterre allows the LFP to recover the rights of 80% of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, initially allocated for more than 800 million euros per year to Mediapro, which has not settled its deadlines since October.

After this expected verdict, the French authority will now be able to officially negotiate with its potential buyers, Canal + and BeIN Sports.
