The Småland derby was goalless in the first period, but in the second Markus Modig had woken the audience, if there was one, with a jerk.

Shortly afterwards, Nick Olesen increased to 2-0 after a control that flew over Fasth.
Olesen who has been loaned to Oskarshamn from Södertälje and who will return to the hockey allsvenska club after Christmas.

The light went dark

The match then went to extra time and penalties.

Oskarshamn has in six attempts never won against Växjö in the SHL context.
SHL is now taking a Christmas break and will return on December 26.
