The national team management has, together with Charlotte Kalla, discussed what is best for her for the future in this year's season.

This weekend she competed for the first time since March, and even though she feels healthy from the covid infection she suffered in November, there is still a long way to go before the competition takes shape.

- We felt that being able to continue working at home is better than a tour with many competitions in a short time.

She is starting to catch up in terms of training, but in terms of capacity she is a little behind, says Magnus Ingesson.

More harm than good

Ingesson says that there is a lot you do not know about the recovery after an illness like this and that he as a coach wants to do it in a safe way.

- We have judged that a ten-day period with many competitions can do more harm than good, but they have not decided in advance.

Charlotte is not normally the one competing for the championship.

We, Stefan (Thomson, national team coach) and I quite agreed on what choice we would make.

Magnus Ingesson does not want to speculate about when Charlotte Kalla is back one hundred percent.

- There are still a couple of months left until the World Cup and at the moment I see nothing that means that she could not be in the same shape as she was before she became ill.
