Mjällby impressed most during the recently concluded Allsvenskan season and when the 30 rounds were played, we found the Blekinge team in a nice-nice fifth place.

With three rounds left, the club announced that they had chosen to go their separate ways with the then head coach, Marcus Lantz.

"We have different ways of looking at how our way of working should be for our sporting organization in the future, and therefore feel that it is better that we continue to work in different directions," the club wrote then.

Two-year contract

Christian Järdler was Lantz's assistant during the season and on Sunday it was announced that he is now taking over the main responsibility.

- I am happy and proud that we have agreed to continue working together.

I am extremely motivated but also very humble in the face of the great challenge that lies ahead of us the second year in the Allsvenskan, says Järdler.

Järdler has signed a two-year contract with the club.
