Hakimi and Lukaku help Inter to end Spezia's resistance

Second-placed Inter Milan needed two second-half goals from Achraf Hakimi and top scorer Romelu Lukaku to defeat Spezia's resistance and defeat the newcomer 2-1 on Sunday.

The win kept Antonio Conte's side one point behind leaders Milan, who beat Sassuolo 2-1.

Spezia, who is participating in the top flight for the first time, held out until seven minutes in the second half when Moroccan Hakimi received a pass by Lautaro Martinez to quickly kick and hit goalkeeper Evan Providil.

Lukaku added the second goal from a penalty kick in the 71st minute, scoring his 11th goal in the competition this season, after a hand touch down by Mbala.

Roberto Piccoli reduced the visitors' lead in stoppage time.
