It was a team on the field in the first half at Selhurst Park.

For the home team, it was unfortunately visiting Liverpool who went out and grabbed the baton and were completely dominant during the first 45 minutes.

First goal

Already in the third minute, the Japanese, Takumi Minamino, gave Liverpool the lead with his first goal in the Premier League when he stayed ahead in the penalty area.

During the final ten minutes of the first half, Sadio Mané then filled in with 2-0 before Roberto Firmino completed a beautiful conversion when he rolled the ball into the net with a well-placed outside.

At half time, Liverpool lead 3-0.
