Hisato Sato, 38, who is a former Japan national football team and has scored 161 points in J1 second place in history, will retire from active duty only this season.

This was announced on the homepage by Jeff Chiba, to which Sato belongs, on the 19th.



Sato is 38 years old from Saitama prefecture.

The forward is a play that makes use of the instantaneous power to get behind the opponent's defense, and he has lived up the J-League with his twin brother, Hayato, a former representative of Japan who retired last year.



In Sanfrecce Hiroshima, where he played for 12 seasons, he won the J1 top scorer and best player in 2012 and led the team to the first victory. He participated in 559 league games and scored 220 points.

Of these, J1 is ranked second in history with a total of 161 points.



In addition, as a representative of Japan, he has participated in 31 games in total and scored 4 points, and has been a driving force in Japanese soccer for a long time.
