At the beginning of the week, the meeting between Björklöven and Mora was played.

The home team had a 3-0 lead after the first period but Mora accounted for a sensational turnaround and won the match 8-4.

In addition, Svenska Spel was able to distinguish "mysterious odds movements" during the game.

An investigation, led by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association, was initiated.

Today, the suspicion and the investigation were dropped. The reason?

The investigation concluded that it was a human error.

"Worst type of accusation"

Anders Blomgren, CEO of Björklöven, believes that the club has been innocently accused of cheating.

- This is the worst type of accusation you can get, Blomgren says to SVT Västerbotten.

Dan Korhonen, production manager at Svenska Spel, says that it is unfortunate.

- Many conclusions are drawn from many quarters and edges, both in the media and from the public.

You should definitely not point a finger in any direction before you have facts on the table, it is very important, he says and continues.

When there is suspicion, it must be investigated

- But that it is investigated when there is a great deal of suspicion is just as important.

Because we know that the problem with match-fixing exists and we will do everything we can to counteract it.

And without such investigations, it is also not possible to counteract match-fixing in Swedish sports.

Korhonen says that Swedish hockey, historically speaking, has been spared from match-fixing and that it is unusual for investigations to be started.

He compares with football.

- There are significantly more investigations, with a similar character as this one, and there we have seen much bigger problems, he says and continues.

- But unfortunately, no sport is spared from a possible manipulation disconnected from the gaming market or any other type of manipulation that may occur in sports.
