Supporter of Stade Toulousain

"Rugby has been one of the sports that I have been watching for some time and that I really appreciate", explains Christian Louboutin.

"In fact, I have friends who are rugby players and I have to say that I rather discovered rugby in England. It was a sport at the base very Anglo-Saxon and all of Great Britain is very, very, very fervent. And so, it was really in England that I discovered rugby ", he tells the microphone of Europe 1.

"Unfortunately, because of my work, I am not enough in the stadiums. But as soon as I can, I do it", adds the creator, supporter of the Stade Toulousain, who intends to take advantage of the World Cup in France to go see the "maximum of matches".

Thanks to this passion, the creator meets many players in rugby.

He was finally contacted by Claude Atcher, director of the France 2023 Rugby World Cup to participate in the draw and become one of the ambassadors, representing "sections of French culture", according to the organization.

An idea that delighted Christian Louboutin, despite his timidity.

"Incredible hopes"

At the end of the draw, it is therefore the All Blacks that the Blues will have to face in the first round of the competition.

A feared adversary.

"We still beat them in 1998. So it can start again", hopes Christian Louboutin.

"I have the feeling that in 2023, we still have incredible hopes. There are great people already. And then there is the whole new generation of French rugby players, who will be between 20 and 24 years old and which are really good. "
