Sara Hector has impressed at the start of the season, and the day before yesterday took her first podium place in six years when she finished second in the French Courchevels giant slalom.

Victory for Shiffrin
For the competition's second Swede, Estelle Alphand, it was a second run for the first time this season.
She finished in 23rd place.
The winner was Mikaela Shiffrin, who defended her lead after the first run.
She was 82 percent ahead of Italian Federica Brignone.
