Sara Hector has impressed at the start of the season, and the day before yesterday took her first podium place in six years when she finished second in the French Courchevels giant slalom.

Today it was time for a new competition on the same hill, but this time it was not the same success as last Saturday.

"Goes a little too straight on"

Hector was seventh after the first run, and in the second run there were a couple of misses that made her lose further and did not finish better than ten.

- It was a bit too round for her today.

It seemed that she goes a little too straight on, she has to round the turns better, analyzed SVT Sports expert Pernilla Wiberg after Hector finished.

Victory for Shiffrin

For the competition's second Swede, Estelle Alphand, it was a second run for the first time this season.

She finished in 23rd place.

The winner was Mikaela Shiffrin, who defended her lead after the first run.

She was 82 percent ahead of Italian Federica Brignone.

However, Shiffrin got it easier than expected, when the second after the first run (Marta Bassino, who was then only seven hundredths after Mikaela Shiffrin), went out at the end of her run, when she led by over a second.
