Sara Hector has impressed at the start of the season, and the day before yesterday took her first podium place in six years when she finished second in the French Courchevels giant slalom.

Today it was time for a new race on the same hill, but in the first race it was not a success.

Already at the first intermediate time, the Swede was half a second behind leader Mikaela Shiffrin, and when she finished, the distance had grown to 1.50.

- We have seen that many had some problems on the precipice and even further down, so just towards the podium it can probably be a bit long distance, says SVT Sports expert Pernilla Wiberg, but leaves a little hope in any case:

- But in the second race last Saturday she was much faster than many others, over a second better than Shiffrin for example.

So everything goes.

The distance up to the Italian Federica Brignone, who holds the third place after most of the top skiers, is 1.36.

The first ride is in progress and can be seen below.

The second run starts at 13.00.
