The Saudi newspaper Al-Eqtisadiah stated that the penalty clause of the Portuguese coach stands in the way of the victory management in its endeavor to terminate his contract.

The newspaper added that the Portuguese coach renewed his contract with the team at the beginning of the current season for a period of two seasons, and his new contract stipulates that the party that breaks the contract unilaterally pays 50 percent of the remaining contract.

She added that the Al-Nasr management is seeking to hold a session with Vitoria in an attempt to find a common solution between the two parties, and that the administration has expressed its willingness to pay an amount that satisfies the coach and does not affect the club's treasury.

Al-Nasr suffered six defeats out of the eight matches it fought in the Saudi League, to occupy the fifteenth place (penultimate) with four points.
