32-year-old Tess Olofsson, who previously judged Division 1 men and the Damallsvenskan, became the first woman to judge in the Superettan in October.

Just over a month later, Olofsson won the award as referee of the year 2020 at the Football Gala.

And now it is clear that the Superettan will be her new home ground - she has received an elite classification.

- It is clear that it is great fun.

It's hard to put it into words right now because I'm very happy and I need to land in it.

But this means that I belong to the highest group on the men's side, so now I'm just tagged on starting next year and continuing to fight on, says Tess Olofsson to SVT Sport.

In addition to being a judge, Tess Olofsson is a police officer.

At present, however, it is unclear whether Olofsson will continue to work as a police officer.

"Will not work as a police officer next year"

- It does not work to work full time, it will be very difficult.

Personally, I feel that I want to focus 100 percent on judging next year, so I will not work as a police officer next year, as it looks right now, she says and continues.

- But I have not been told about it yet, but am waiting to see if there will be a 100 percent employment at the Swedish Football Association.

The Allsvenskan is the next goal

If we think a little about the future, what are your next goals?

- It is to establish myself in the Superettan, because even if you take the step up, it is important to perform in every match.

That you show that you are at the right level and then the goal is to get a chance to judge an Allsvenskan match.

But it can take time, because as I said, first I will establish myself in the Superettan and then it is very tough competition.

Right now the group is full in the Allsvenskan, so we'll see when it happens.

Do you think that you will judge in the Allsvenskan within the next few years?

- I hope so and will do everything I can to get there.
