Jae-il Oh, 34, is heading to Daegu this year, one of the'Big 3'in the professional baseball free agent (FA) market.

The Samsung Lions Club announced on the 14th that it has signed a contract with Jae-il Oh of 2.4 billion won for four years, an annual salary of 2.2 billion won, and an incentive of 400 million won.

The annual salary is set at 600 million won in 2021-2022 and 500 million won in 2023-2024.

The incentive took 100 million each year.

As a result, Samsung has brought free agents from outside three years after recruiting catcher Kang Min-ho in November 2017.

Jae-il Oh, a native of Yatap High School in Bundang, entered a pro in 2005 under the nomination of the Hyundai Unicorns 2nd Round 3, went through Heroes, and has played for Doosan Bears since 2012.

His career performance was 0.283 batting average, 147 home runs, and 583 RBIs.

In particular, by hitting a double-digit home run for six years in a row since 2015, Samsung expected it to be a big addition to the batting line in desperate need for long hitting power.

Through the club, Oh Jae-il said, "I sincerely thank the Samsung Lions club for appreciating my value." I will do my best."

He also said, "I am grateful to the Doosan club officials and manager Tae-hyung Kim for giving me a chance and helping me grow," he said. "I will not forget the memories of my great colleagues and the shouts of Doosan fans for life."

Samsung, who has recruited Jae-il Oh, who is an A-class FA, must compensate his original team, Doosan, with 200% of Oh Jae-il's annual salary (470 million won), 940 million won, and 20 protective players and one other player.

Among the'Big 3', Gyeong-min Heo remained at Doosan, the club's elemental club, under the condition that he received a total amount of KRW 8.5 billion for up to 7 years.
