32-year-old Kevin Durant has won two NBA titles, been named the league's best player once and won the league points four times.

But last night, he had not played a game in over a year and a half, since he tore his hamstring in the fifth NBA final between his Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors.

Successful comeback

But last night he finally made a comeback, and at the same time a debut for the Brookylyn Nets he signed on for a couple of weeks after the injury in the final.

And it was, to say the least, a successful comeback.

With 18 points, Durant became the best scorer for Brookylyn in the 119-114 victory over the Washington Wizards, and Durant was relieved after the game.

- I have been looking forward to this for so incredibly long, he said after the match, according to the club's website.

- It felt good.

I want to play basketball at the highest level, and the highest intensity is not the one that comes out in the pre-season.

But this was a good first step.

I want to play the most important matches, at the end of the regular season and in the playoffs.

That's when I play my best basketball, so that's what I'm working on now.

"Be very good"

Durant and Kyrie Irving dominated the match for Brookyln, especially in the first half when the duo accounted for 33 of the team's 68 points.

- "Ky" was super sharp and Kevin, who has been gone for so very long, was very good and extremely close to being fantastic.

He will continue to develop and become comfortable.

Considering that he has had that kind of injury, it is remarkable that he is at the level he is, says Brooklyn coach Steve Nash.

The NBA starts on December 23rd.

Brooklyn then meets Durant's former team Golden State Warriors.
