Alexander Bolshunov, set the highest speed and dominated the race from the start.
He extended his lead at every intermediate time and eventually won by 32.2 seconds ahead of compatriot Andrey Melnichenko.
The third and fourth were also Russians.
Third came Artem Maltsev, 39.5 seconds behind the winner, and fourth was Ivan Yakimushkin, +46.1.
The Swiss Dario Cologna was involved and sniffed on a podium place in just over half the race before he donated back to the results list.
Otherwise, there were few challengers to the Russians at the top.
Francesco De Fabiano, Italy, made a strong second part of the race and came in fifth.
The British Andrew Musgrave also rode smoothly and quickly.
