The "Dragon Fire" team won first place in the women's 200-meter race, and the "DP World" team won first place in the Enterprise Cup, and in the mixed category for a distance of 200 meters, the "Titans" team won.
The participants carried out several performances, including the lion dance, Chinese folklore, and other activities in the race, which requires possessing rowing skills and teamwork as a team, to win the competition on the 200-meter track.
The Dubai Sports Council said, in a statement, yesterday: “Dragon Boat Race activities are very popular in China and a number of South and East Asian countries. The Dubai Sports Council is keen to include these events of a sporting and community nature in its program of activities, and to provide ways for success to organize this. The event, which attracts participants and thousands of followers annually, is an annual festival that brings together various companies, university, school and community institutions, and includes participants of various nationalities from all over the country.
He added: “The organization of the race in Dubai since 2008 confirms the integration of communities into society and their eagerness to practice their heritage hobbies, and the establishment of sporting and community gatherings with the broad participation of athletes and a large audience, and with the facilities provided by the governmental sports and non-sports institutions.”
