The German ski jumping duo Karl Geiger and Markus Eisenbichler won in the supreme discipline.

At the ski flying world championship in Planica (Slovenia) Geiger jumped sensationally to the title and team-mate Eisenbichler took third place.

In between, the Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud pushed himself.

Geiger had already led the ranking with two of four rounds after the first day.

"I am extremely happy when I can get involved with Halvor Egner Granerud and Markus and annoy them," he said with a little understatement.

In front of empty stands and in the dead of winter, team flying is on the program on Sunday (4 p.m.) at the end of the competitions.

Eisenbichler and Geiger are part of the German team.
