It was in December last year that the shock news came for Frida Karlsson.

She was stopped from competing after not meeting the union's health requirements.

There was a great uproar in the media and Karlsson himself has spoken sparingly about the time that was.

She tells SVT Sport about the difficult time.

- I had packed my bag for my next World Cup.

After this message, I then knew when, if or how I would recover.

At first I went down to the bottom and felt sorry for myself.

I lay in bed for three days in a row and did nothing, everything felt very boring.

"Became a lot at once"

The large amount of training is one of many parts that Karlsson believes were the cause of what happened.

- It became a lot at once.

I had broken through and the total load increased.

I have always wanted to increase the amount of training and I respond well to a lot of training.

But maybe I did not have the knowledge required to have the balance in the whole with recovery and diet.

It must go hand in hand if you are to receive any dividend from it.

How are you today?

- I'm fine.

I feel very safe in my team around me and I feel that I get a lot out of my training today and I think a big part of it is that I have more knowledge about all the pieces around me.
