It was on the 16th hole (her seventh of the day) at Champions Golf Club that Olson made his hole-in-one.

At the tee, she noticed that the wind was blowing from the right on the 129 meter long hole.

- So I hit a fade (screw) to try to master the wind, and landed two putt lengths in front of the flag, had a good spin and it just rolled in. We saw the whole ball field, which was fun, Olson says to LPGA.

She continued with a birdie on the 17th hole and leads with a stroke after a 67-round before a trio.

Due to the corona restrictions, it has become a December competition, only a few people saw the battle with their own eyes - however, it was widely circulated in TV channels and social media.

South Korean is not even among the top 100 after his hole-in-one

- I made some birdies that I had not counted on which helped, says 28-year-old Olson who has been second best in a major before.

South Korean Yu Jin Sung also made a hole-in-one, on the fourth hole, but otherwise had a hard day on the course and went around 76 strokes and is placed in 108th place.

The Swedes Linnea Ström and Linn Grant have a close sense of shared fifth place with 69 strokes.

- I'm happy with the round today.

It was a stable game and I had good patience out there, Ström said in Viaplay's TV broadcast.
