Barça thwarted Malcolm Delaney's revenge in a brilliant last quarter.

The Olimpia of Milan, capable of endorsing 102 points on their track to Khimki, brushed the victory with their fingers only to see how Sarunas Jasikevicius's, with Brandon Davies (21 points, 28 PIR), Nikola Mirotic (19 points, 28 valuation) and Cory Higgins (16 points) as the most outstanding players, condemned him to an incontestable defeat at the end (87-71).

Without the support of Chacho Rodríguez, he goes down due to injury, Delaney's pulse trembled at the most inopportune moment.

The Catalans, stung by the defeat against Olympiacos, started out strong in defense and very active in attack.

With an eminently choral game, they scored an initial 11-0 that invited them to promise them very happy.

On Olympia's side, only

Hines

seemed able to weather the downpour, while Delaney appeared to be missing.

It just seemed like it.

Barça managed to go to the second quarter with an apparently clear advantage (23-15) that the visitors would be able to give them back in a comfortable way with the appearance of the former Barcelona player.

Delaney was Olimpia's main argument to erase, with a stroke of the pen, all the good that the Catalans had done in the first ten minutes.

Of course, also counting on the successful contributions of a Micov who would send the game to rest with a 39-43 favorable for the Italian team after endorsing Barça a 16-28 partial.

Davies and Mirotic seemed the only ones able to really stand up in a room in which Jasikevicius's men, to the despair of the coach, seemed to have a hard time scoring and help them score and in which they also lost the defensive solidity of the first minutes.

Barça took to the court convinced of their possibilities after the break.

Very soon, between

Abrines

and

Mirotic they

managed to put the equalizer.

The Milanese side, however, managed to survive thanks, above all, to Punter's tireless attitude.

The Italian team, recovering that choral game that the Barcelona fans had exhibited at the start, managed to timidly stay ahead on the scoreboard (60-61) at the end of a tremendously competitive third period.

Perhaps, the fact of not having the prize of arriving ahead to the last quarter weighed a little in Barça.

The Catalans started the denouement tremendously in attack and Olimpia got seven points ahead after a triple from a reappeared Delaney (60-67).

Despite everything, when everything seemed to be getting worse for the locals, Jasikevicius's bid to shake things up gave a tremendous result.

The Barça fans, hand in hand with a very intoned Davies and an always reliable Mirotic, managed to endorse a 21-0 run on

Ettore Messina's team

, with two determining triples from Higgins in between, and, incidentally, to cancel to a Delaney who, in the end, was left with the honeys of revenge on his lips (87-71).
