The acquisition of Japanese nationality by 35-year-old Tsururyu was announced in the official bulletin on the 10th.

According to the current rules of the Japan Sumo Association, a retired wrestler must have Japanese nationality in order to become a master, and Yokozuna Hakuho, who is also from Mongolia, acquired Japanese nationality in September last year.
