INtegriSportNext is the name of the EU project that will try to counteract match-fixing and cut the ties between sports and crime.

Something Björn Eriksson, chairman of the Swedish Sports Confederation, describes as "a major threat to the future of competitive sports".

Sweden's participation will namely be coordinated by the Swedish Sports Confederation in collaboration with the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Police Authority.

- We get to use international expertise and the opportunity to collaborate across national borders, which means that we can take on harder pinches in the future when sports are threatened, says Eriksson.

The police authority says it can contribute with its experiences of match-fixing since 2012 and refers to the investigations into the three convictions that have existed in the area in Sweden.
