Rashid bin Humaid participates in the 30th Asian Congress

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the UAE Football Association, participated in the General Assembly of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), "the 30th Asian Congress," which was held today via visual communication technology, chaired by Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the AFC, and with the participation of Gianni Envatino, President of the International Federation of FIFA FIFA, the presidents of the member national federations, Abdullah Nasser Al Junaibi, First Vice President of the Federation, President of the Emirates Professional League, and Mohammed Abdullah Hazam Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Football Association.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi praised the efforts made by the AFC for the continuous development and support of all elements of the Asian football system, which are consistent with its development vision, stressing the support of the UAE Football Association for all development projects and initiatives that serve football in Asia.

The schedule of the General Assembly meeting began with a call to attend to verify the completion of the quorum for the General Assembly to convene and approve the agenda of the 30th Congress, and move to the opening with the speech of Gianni Infantino, President of the International Football Association, and the speech of Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation.

After the completion of the audit, Congress reviewed the AFC annual report, which included all the activities for the year 2019, in addition to the financial report for 2019, the review of the current budget for 2020, and the approval of the introduction of the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association as a natural member of the AFC. He has a direct vote, and proposals to amend the statute have been presented.
