Sweden's decision to forgo the World Cup competitions in Davos and Dresden in December stands firm.

It is clear after a large international meeting on Friday morning.

- The decision not to compete in Davos and Dresden stands firm.

We will focus on keeping our bubbles here in Sweden and work intensively to find solutions that allow us to go to the Tour de Ski after Christmas, says national team manager Anders Byström in a press release.

He believes that not everyone followed the guidelines that existed during the World Cup premiere in Ruka.

- There is a great responsibility on the team and active to follow the guidelines set by Fis (international association).

Something that was not fully followed in Finland.

Hopefully this will be better in the next two competitions when Fis and the organizers trim the routines, Byström says.

National team doctor Per "Pliggen" Andersson explains what is required for Sweden to go on the Tour de Ski.

- First of all, a marked reduction in the spread of covid-19.

We will see where it goes in the next few weeks.

This is something we ourselves cannot influence, he says and continues:

- But that Italian authorities now limit travel between different regions, I still get a little hope that, if we can arrange the practicalities from our side with our own transport, our own accommodation with our own dining room in reasonable proximity to the competition sites, we can get a good bubble.
