The shock after Romain Grosjean's violent accident is not quite out of the bones, as Formula 1 begins to deal with the dramatic events.
The racing series has rejected criticism from drivers like Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo of the repetition of the fire scenes from Grosjean's accident in Bahrain.
A spokesman for the motorsport premier class told the internet portal “motorsport.com” on Monday: “No repetitions of an accident will be shown until the approval and confirmation from the race management / Fia is given that all persons (drivers, marshals, doctors etc. .) are safe.
Repetitions were only started afterwards. ”Strict protocols were always followed.
Ferrari driver Vettel suspected that people would like to see scenes like this.
“Otherwise the director or whoever is editing wouldn't show it over and over again.
People like accidents, sometimes they forget that we are behind the wheel, ”said Vettel.
