In the early morning of November 29th, the 2020 Shanghai Marathon (hereinafter referred to as "Shangma") started at the Bund Taurus Square.

This year's launch not only reduced the scale of the competition to 9,000 people, but only retained the entire Malaysian project, but also started the race in three shots without precedent.

Epidemic prevention and control is the top priority of this year's launch. In addition to not accepting applications from runners in high-risk areas, contestants and all front-line staff must also undergo nucleic acid testing before the competition.

In addition, runners need to wear masks from entering the assembly tunnel to before starting the race.

After the start, runners are not allowed to discard their masks anywhere. 3 kilometers before the race, volunteers for recycling of discarded masks are provided for runners to discard masks.

There will be no spectator seats at the start and finish points and along the track, and it is also not allowed to gather on-site spectators and make private supplements on the track.
