Dino Beganovic's victory came on the classic Imola track and was proof that the driver, from Linköping, is on the right track in his effort towards the top.

- A very special weekend on a historic course.

It was a nice feeling to step up to the top of the podium, Beganovic says to SVT Sport.

Next weekend, the series ends with three races on the Vallelunga track northwest of Rome.

Beganovic is third in the championship and has a small chance of finishing second in the table.

- The goal of the season has already been achieved, it obviously feels easier for the future.

I learn a lot of things every time I sit in the car.

You can be fast from the start but there is a lot to keep track of.

Compared to the first time we drove on Imola, I have improved a lot, he says.

The 16-year-old reached star status as a kart driver and took the step to a formula car ahead of the season.

He graduated from primary school this spring and moved to Italy after being hand-picked for one of the nine places in the talent factory Ferrari Driver Academy as the first Swede.

HAS RYDELL AS AN ADVISOR

He has former racing star Rickard Rydell as an advisor and together they are now working purposefully to take the right step towards the final goal - Formula 1 for Ferrari.

Asked if the next step on the career ladder is already waiting for next season, Beganovic answers a little secretively:

- It may be so ... but nothing is ready yet for 2021.
