It is one more stone in Bernard Laporte's garden.

The Bordeaux prosecutor's office opened a preliminary investigation in early November targeting the president of the French Rugby Federation, reveals

L'Equipe.

The former Secretary of State for Sports (from October 2007 to June 2009) is suspected of "forgery", "use of forgery", "abuse of corporate assets" and "concealment of abuse of corporate assets".

A man, Julien Faujanet, accuses Bernard Laporte of having benefited from a “fictitious job” in the past.

It was this report that triggered the preliminary investigation.

This former former manager and partner of the Espace Loisirs Concepts group, specializing in the construction and operation of nursing homes, affirms “that his uncle (Marc Faujanet) offered a fictitious job to Bernard Laporte in exchange for easier access to land operations thanks to Bernard Laporte's local connections ”in Gironde.

Whoever mentions a salary of 10,000 euros should soon be heard by the Interregional Directorate of the Judicial Police (DIPJ).

A family conflict?

Accusations categorically denied by the president of the FFR, very established in the Bordeaux region, and Marc Faujanet.

They know each other but they have never done business together apart from a real estate transaction in a town in the Bassin d'Arcachon several years ago.

This case takes place against a background of family conflict.

Julien Faujanet saw his father (Alex) be dismissed by his uncle (Marc) without obtaining any compensation after twenty years of collaboration.

A dispute still opposes the two brothers in this case.

The investigation should also clarify the role of Arielle Rouet, an acquaintance of the Faujanet family and Bernard Laporte, who presents himself as an intermediary in the real estate industry and has exerted pressure on the accuser in recent years.
