Since team captain Anders Christiansen tested positive for corona in the middle of Malmö's gold celebration on November 8, additional players in and around the A squad have been identified with covid-19.

On Monday, Malmö FF went out with half the squad, both players and staff, tested positive.

On Sunday, an away match against Hammarby in the Allsvenskan awaits and MFF's CEO Niclas Carlnén does not complain that younger players may get the chance in the absence of regular players.

"Nothing new"

- It is absolutely so that we can lift some younger players, we have done that before so it is nothing new in itself.

We have that preparedness.

And our squad today is 25 players, more than half of them are available and then we are pretty sure that there are a few more who will return in the next few days, says Carlnén.

There should be no danger to the match.

- No no no.

We play absolutely, without a doubt.

There are no problems at all, says Carlnén.

"Want to continue to win"

On Tuesday, a small group of MFF players went into training, all were tested before the session and according to the CEO, the number of positives did not change.

- It is still just under 50 percent.

It follows what we have hoped for.

Then a lot is about when you are symptom-free, says Carlnén, who believes in a continued hungry team despite the fact that the Swedish Championship gold has already been salvaged.

- We want to continue to win regardless of which team we put on the field.
