The national soccer team will play an evaluation match with Qatar as scheduled at 10 pm on the 17th.

The Korea Football Association (KFA) said that it was decided to play an A match with Qatar as a result of the third Corona 19 diagnostic test in Austria for all of the national team led by coach Paulo Bento.

According to KFA, one additional staff member was confirmed in this gene amplification (PCR) test conducted at 1:30 am on the 16th.

As a result, the number of confirmed cases on the Bento during this expedition to Austria increased to eight.

Among them, six players were Lee Dong-jun (Busan), Cho Hyun-woo (Ulsan), Hwang In-beom (Rubin Kazan), Kim Moon-hwan (Busan), Na Sang-ho (Seongnam), and Kwon Chang-hoon (Freiburg), who returned to their team first, and two staff members.

Currently, 19 of the 25 representative players are available, so KFA decided to play this match as scheduled in consultation with the Qatar Football Association.

The International Football Federation (FIFA) and the European Football Federation (UEFA) stipulate that a match can be played if there are 13 or more players, including one goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, from the 17th, when the Qatar war is held, a full blockade will be imposed in Austria, restricting going out.

The Korean Football Association said, "We are busy working to obtain permission to leave the country as soon as possible through the Austrian government and the embassy. We are also discussing entry procedures for players and staff who have been confirmed for Corona 19 with the Korean government and related organizations."

Excluding Kwon Chang-hoon, the confirmed members of the national team are living in quarantine for 10 days in each room of the Radisson Blu Park Royal Palace Hotel, which is the accommodation, according to local quarantine regulations.

In keeping with the rules, they must continue their quarantine life even after the national team's schedule is over.

In particular, for Cho Hyun-woo, his team Ulsan participated in the Asian Football Federation (AFC) Champions League and needs quick action.

The Football Association said, "As a result of consultation with the club, Cho Hyun-woo decided to devise a plan to maintain isolation and transfer to Korea as soon as possible."
