Stina Nilsson made her debut as a biathlete this weekend when she competed in Idre on Saturday and Sunday, with mixed results.

The former long-distance star has previously said that it is not relevant with any World Cup premiere.

And when the squad for the first competition weekend in Kontiolahti was presented on Monday, Nilsson was missing.

But as many as seven Swedish ladies are included as Elisabeth Högberg has a free place after the victory in the IBU Cup last year.

Five Swedish men have been selected, and among them Malte Stefansson stands out. The 20-year-old talent finished in a nice fourth place in this weekend's sprint in the Swedish Cup. Before the season, Stefansson got a development place in the biathlon national team's A-team.
