  The ISU stated in a statement that due to the pandemic of the new crown virus, many countries and regions around the world have imposed entry restrictions.

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, which was originally scheduled to be held in the next few months, has affected many test matches, and the preparation of the event has become more complicated.

  Therefore, the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, the International Olympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee and the international associations of winter events jointly decided to adjust the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics test competition plan.

  The ISU confirmed that, including:

  Figure Skating Grand Prix Finals, originally scheduled to be held from December 10th to 13th, 2020

  Short Track Speed ​​Skating World Cup Beijing Station, originally scheduled to be held from December 18th to 20th, 2020

  Speed ​​Skating World Championships, originally scheduled to be held from February 25 to 28, 2021

  Although under the current circumstances, finding alternative locations and changing event dates will be a challenge, the ISU is studying alternatives for the Figure Skating Grand Prix Finals and Speed ​​Skating World Championships and will make a decision as soon as possible.

  Due to the limitation of the event planning, the short track speed skating World Cup competition originally planned to be held in Beijing has been cancelled.

The ISU will update the 2020/21 season calendar in the next few days.

  Regarding the adjustment plan for the 2022 Winter Olympics test competition, the ISU will discuss with the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee and work with the International Olympic Committee to determine the details of the test competition based on the needs of the ISU.
