The Korea Football Association announced that "four players and a staff member of the national team, including Kwon Chang-hoon, Hwang In-beom, Jo Hyun-woo, and Dong-Joon Lee, were tested positive for Corona 19" while training in Austria for the two evaluation matches.

All five of them were asymptomatic and tested negative at the first test 72 hours before the call, but the second test that was conducted the night (12th) showed positive tests.

They were quarantined in their respective rooms according to the quarantine guidelines, and all the rest of the squad, who were tested negative, will be retested at 4 pm this afternoon.

As a result of the confirmation, it became unclear whether the match between Mexico and Qatar on the 17th was scheduled for tomorrow morning.

The association will decide whether or not the match will be held in consultation with the local Austrian and Mexican football associations, when the results of the retest this afternoon are available.

Currently, the national team includes all key European resources, such as Tottenham Son Heung-min and Salzburg Hwang Hee-chan, but the infection route of the confirmed players is still unknown, so there is a great concern about further infection.
