The association writes that they are closing the three highest series for relegation so that no team can be relegated on sporting grounds.

However, teams should still be able to go up one series and therefore the 2021/22 season may contain more teams in some series.

“Through the above decision, it is up to each individual association to decide whether to play a match or not and together with the opponent decide on a new match time or WO.

In the event of a dispute, the competition committee (TK) is the decision-making body ", the association writes.

Criticism of the union

Several clubs in the men's Allsvenskan have during the week been critical of the association and demanded that the start of the series be postponed.

Kungsälv's chairman Ola Dagliden says, for example, that they do not intend to play matches that require public transport or overnight stays.

- It is completely out of the question that we go to these matches, says Dagliden to Göteborgs-Posten.

The association also chooses to pause the Allsvenskan women, division 1 and underlying activities as well as youth activities until January 2, 2021. Training may be carried out for young people born in 2005 or later.

"The background to our positions is that we as far as possible want to take responsibility for our sport and its practitioners and in this include the impact it can have on social development."
