The event will be held with fewer people on site.

The ambition is that at least the nominated athletes will be invited to the gala.

- Extensive work is now being done to adapt this to current restrictions so that it is implemented in a safe way, says Stephan Rimér.

- We are strengthened by the fact that it feels relevant in a year like this to show how strong sport is and that Swedish sport still delivers and how important that part is also for us to get through this.

At the Sports Gala every year, Swedish world stars receive the Sports Academy's awards for their achievements.

In addition, SVT-sport's Sportspegel Prize, Radiosport's classic and prestigious Jerring Prize and Svenska Dagbladet's Bragdguld are awarded.
