The Manchester United defender has been plagued by back problems in recent weeks and has rested in several of the team's matches.

He is still a question mark before Sweden's international match against Croatia on Saturday, but during Thursday's press conference he gave a positive message on the question of whether he stands 90 minutes both on Saturday and Tuesday (against France).

- The back feels okay.

I have had problems for a few weeks and fought my way through the matches that have been.

It was nice that I got a few days off now and could get treatment.

I have tried to rest up and it felt good in training today so hopefully there will be no problems, says Lindelöf.

- If they want me to play on Saturday, I will try to play.

Then we will see afterwards how the back feels, but I do not think there should be any problems.

"Has a very tough schedule"

One reason for the back problems may be the intense game schedule this year.

- We have a very tough schedule and it is just a matter of trying to recover the body as well as you can between the matches.

I have been lucky and not suffered any major injuries, but you have a few minor flaws from time to time, says Lindelöf.

Sweden must defeat Croatia to have the chance to stay in the Nations League A division.
