It was yesterday that the Swedish Ski Association told that Charlotte Kalla got symptoms of covid-19.

The Swede has therefore been isolated and misses the pre-season camp in Bruksvallarna which starts today.

- We hope that there will be a test result here during the day, says the national team's doctor Per "Pliggen" Andersson to SVT Sport on Wednesday morning.

If she has covid-19, what happens then?

- Right now we treat her as if she already has it, based on the symptoms she has.

Then it is so that the test can confirm that she has covid-19.

But if it is negative, you can still not rule out infection, that is what is a big medical challenge.

You can have the infection without testing positive.

"Takes it day by day"

Positive answer or not, the premiere competition in Bruksvallarna next Friday is not likely to be relevant for Charlotte Kalla, Andersson says.

- Right now we follow the process day by day and then we make the medical decisions that are appropriate when the time is right.

But it is clear the probability is low.

There is no concern that more in the national team are infected?

- She has not met anyone since the last camp in Vålådalen, so with regard to the incubation period, I do not see that there could have been any spread of infection.
