At first it was a swinging event.

Reigning champion Borås (awarded the gold when the season was canceled) opened strongly against the 2019 champion team Södertälje and had a 13 point advantage early.

But the lead shrank and after Dino Pita's three-pointer in the last second of the first quarter, it was suddenly Södertälje's lead with 29-28.

Then Borås switched up.

At the break, the team had 50-41 in their favor.

Avery Woodson and William Gutenius, with 17 and 10 points respectively, were so far one hundred percent in their shooting.

- We came out strong and pull away immediately, then we drop a little and let them in.

But we do a good job, Gutenius told SVT Sport during the break.

"Good energy"

It was never dramatic towards the end, but the victory numbers were written to 97-75 in Borås' favor.

In total, Boråstrion Woodson, Gutenius and Marek Klassen accounted for 64 points.

Woodson was the best scorer with 24 points, the others scored 20 points each.

- We make a good match.

We came out super focused and very hungry.

We had good energy tonight, says Woodson after the match.

The best scorer in Södertälje was Viktor Gaddefors with 22 points.

Borås took their third win in six matches.

Södertälje noted its first loss after starting with two straight victories in a limping table.
