Athletes expected that the next season of the first division league will be exceptional due to the presence of many indicators, which they said heralded strong and open competition between the majority of clubs, as they have benefited from a long period of preparation, due to the conditions imposed by the Corona virus pandemic, and the postponement of the competition.

In an interview with Emirates Today, they said that the competition, which starts on Friday, will witness an important presence for the citizen coach, especially after the Football Association’s decision to oblige clubs to hire citizen coaches, starting from the next season 2021-2022, in addition to the continuation of foreign technical bodies that have accumulated great experiences in Amateur League.

The competition kicks off in the opening round with matches: Al-Bataih with Al-Hamriya, Masfout with Dibba Al-Hisn, Masafi with Al-Taawon, Al-Dhaid with the Emirates, and Dibba Al-Fujairah with Al-Orouba.

Among the most prominent of the continuing foreign coaches, the coach of Dibba Al-Hisn, the Portuguese Roy Antonio, and the Tunisian Hamriyah coach Ghazi Gharayri, who is looking for a real personal achievement after he was close to two seasons of achieving the rise with Al-Orouba and Al-Hamriya.

Former Fujairah and Arabism coach Khamis Bilal said, "The new version of the first-class league promises high technical, organizational and competitive levels, and may be the most prominent for several reasons, including the ambition of national coaches who want to prove their merit in the season before the mandatory presence of the national coach next year."

He continued, "This is in addition to the readiness of more than one club, which means that the competition will not be limited to a limited number of clubs as it was previously, and this has been confirmed by the results of the preliminary round of the President's Cup."

He added: “There is a strong desire for four national coaches to prove oneself and make the FIFA initiative succeed. The tournament will give a highly competitive spirit, they are: Al-Dhaid coach Muhammad Al-Ajmani, Masafi Abdul-Ghani Al-Mahri coach, Al-Arabi coach Muhammad Jalbout, and Taawon coach Arif Shalank.

He said that these coaches will compete with full force despite the difficulty of competing with foreign coaches.

He explained: It will definitely be a strong season, as it is an opportunity for all clubs to invest parity in technical capabilities, in addition to the desire of the clubs that competed last season to compensate for the canceled season.

For his part, the former coach of Dibba Al-Hisn, Saeed Al-Watari, confirmed that the absence of relegation in the canceled season raised the intensity of competition between all clubs, since the current season of amateurs did not witness the presence of two “professional” clubs, which was difficult to compete with other clubs in previous seasons.

"The chances will be roughly equal for all teams, which might make the competition for the promotion somewhat easier for many clubs."

He continued: "The teams of Dibba Al-Hisn, the Emirates, Dibba Fujairah, Al-Orouba, Al-Hamriya and Al-Bataih will not find an opportunity easier than this season, compared to the situation if experienced clubs had relegated to the amateurs."

For his part, the former coach of Dibba Fujairah, Muhammad Obaid Al-Khadim, said: “Most of the clubs, especially the Emirates, Dibba Al-Hisn, Al-Hamriyah, Al-Bataih and Dibba Al Fujairah, are equal in technical capabilities and ambition, and are looking for compensation for what they missed last season, when they were, according to the order, close to climbing to the Arab Gulf League, had it not. Canceling the season due to the pandemic ».

He added that the presence of distinguished players such as Brazilian Dibba Fujairah player Bruno, Al-Bataih star Alex, Al-Orouba player Victor, and the UAE strikers, Brazilians Da Silva and Newbeather, will make the competition strong.

He explained that «the matter will not stop at the limit of these clubs, as there are other clubs, such as Al-Orouba, who qualified for the next round of the President’s Cup, and has the chances of competition and qualification, as well as the matter for Masfout, who has not suffered any loss in any of his friendly and official matches, which means that the teams that will compete in The ascension will not stand on two or three teams, as it was previously ».
