Leonardo had a great oral on Wednesday, during a discussion organized by the club between the Parisian supporters and the sports director, all broadcast live on Twitter.

The Brazilian notably mentioned the discussions around Di Maria and Juan Bernat, at the end of the contract in 2021, and the duo Neymar-Mbappé, whose lease runs until 2022.

“All the extensions we're considering, we've started talking.

I think we will intensify in the coming weeks, "said Leonardo, without hiding that the" financial losses "linked to the Covid-19 pandemic had to be taken into account.

"We're starting to talk," he insisted about Neymar.

But "today people cannot even move", it is a "question of timing".

🎙 Leonardo: “There is something very strong in this club, this city.

Winning the @ChampionsLeague here would be ... unique!

There is a football culture to develop in Paris.

Everything is present in this club to succeed.

"This is not the time to take stock"

The sporting director also spoke about the tensions that appeared publicly with coach Thomas Tuchel about the last transfer window.

"These are things that happen, we talked, now the situation is clear for everyone," he said, regretting their passes through the media.

“Now is not the time to take stock, the plane has taken off, we'll see how it goes.

"

Leonardo has also assumed the late nature of the summer transfer window, a strategy considered with regard to the health context.

PSG are "not here to cry", but "this year we did not even know how to make the transfer window", he said.

"We lost between 15 and 20% (of income) last year, there it will be even more", he argued.

But Paris Saint-Germain has the capacity and the means to overcome the crisis well.

"

Leo would never have thought of changing Tuchel

Clearly at the top of the French Championship, the reigning vice-champions of Europe have had a more difficult start to the season in the Champions League, with two 2-1 defeats against Manchester United and then Leipzig in three group stage matches, which weakened Tuchel.

"The truth, the facts, is that internally we never thought of changing Tuchel (...) We never called anyone", assured Leonardo.

“It's time for everyone to focus on the goals, not to waste energy,” he insisted.

“We have 40 very important days for us until the break.
