The championship has already been moved from Paris to Turkey, where the assessment was made to be able to arrange the competition in a safe way, despite the fact that Sweden is now withdrawing.

- It was not an easy decision, there have been a lot of investigations linked to insurance coverage, local restrictions, travel opportunities and also purely sporting and ethical conditions, says Lotta Darlin, press officer at the Swedish Gymnastics Association.

"Unfortunately, the whole thing means that the only responsible decision that could be made is not to participate, no matter how great the desire is to be part of a championship context," she continues.

For David Rumbutis and Jonna Adlerteg, who would represent Sweden, the preparations have now changed drastically.

- We will sit down this week and think about how we should set up the autumn.

It will probably be a mix between competition programs and new exercises, but I choose to focus as if there will be competitions as usual in the spring.

I can not think of any other way, says Adlerteg.
