The Board of Directors of the Emirates Football Association held its ninth meeting today at the Federation headquarters in Dubai, headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the Federation, and in the presence of all members.
A press release said: “The Board of Directors approved the establishment of the National Teams and Technical Affairs Committee for a discussion session in the presence of all the national coaches with the aim of proposing ideas and exchanging views, and establishing an electronic platform to receive proposals that would contribute to developing the performance of national cadres working in clubs and national teams, and the Board of Directors was informed. On the program of preparing our national team for the joint qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup Finals and the international friendly matches that it will play during the current camp in Dubai with Tajikistan and Bahrain, in addition to the matches that will be held in the next phase during FIFA days, as is the case for the program for preparing our junior team for the Asian Cup finals scheduled for Kingdom of Bahrain next year. The Board of Directors also reviewed the arrangements for the country to host the qualifiers for the AFC U-23 Finals scheduled for October 2021.
The meeting discussed the latest preparations for the competitions committee for the first-division competitions that start next Friday and the second division competition scheduled for the month of December, and the Board of Directors approved special procedures in the event that the sports season for the first and second division competitions is canceled, as well as the approval of the annual circular of the Youth League competition that will start from the beginning. From November 20.
The Board of Directors reviewed the plan to develop the UAE arbitration system 2020-2024 and approved the recommendations of the referees committee regarding financial discounts for referees starting from the current season and the application of video assistant referee technology from the preliminary round of the Arab Gulf Cup from the next round of "second-round matches". Futsal referees and the first and second division competitions, namely Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Ali Muhammad Mal Allah, Nabil Numan Saeed and Ahmed Muhammad Al Tunaiji, and Futsal referee Yasser Khalfan Al Zaabi promoted to the first class after passing the tests.
